Puppy Selection Service

Unfortunately people often pick the wrong dog to suit their lifestyle. Very often owners select a dog purely on looks and cuteness, and fail to take in to account breed characteristics and the needs of their dog. This leads to problems later in life when owners find that their dog is in fact not suited to their lifestyle. This is a principal cause of dogs having to be rehomed and that is why UK rescue centres are continuously full.

Kelford offers a puppy selection service for those wanting to make the right decision.
Designed to ensure your new puppy will meet your expectations. This offers you and your family the opportunity to discuss with the Kelford Trainer reasons why you have decided to welcome a new puppy into your established home environment. You will be introduced to which breeds have the qualities and breed traits that would suit your personal specifications. You will be educated in how to select the right puppy, bringing it home, feeding, grooming, exercise, health, early training.

Available in your home or by appointment at Kelford Lodge.

We offer an A* selection service too

This is whereby once you have decided on a breed the Kelford trainer will source reputable breeders with quality puppies, carry out necessary searches on breed lines, and will accompany you to select the puppy from the litter, or if you prefer we select the puppy on your behalf. Puppy is then vaccinated and foundation trained, before being introduced in to your home. Many owners prefer the latter option as the new puppy has all of the expected cuteness but displays excellent manners and is fully foundation trained by 14 weeks old.
