Over a lifetime of training canines of every breed, at Kelford we have learned that the expectations of the individual owner must be a major consideration before designing the most productive dog training program.

Lifestyles differ so very much and reasons for dog ownership vary. Not everyone has the time or inclination to learn the mind pattern of their dog, or desires to work through a training program.

At Kelford we offer a variety of bespoke training options to suit all requirements.  Each is designed to maximize the potential of the canine whilst reaching the ultimate within the canine/human relationship.

LIFESTYLE  TRAINING PROGRAM –

Both owner and canine are assessed and a training program is designed to suit the individual owner’s lifestyle. This will ensure the dog fits in to the environment rather than rules it. Suitable for all breeds of all ages.

The Assessment considers the owners expectation, the mind pattern of the specific breed or combination breed.

and typical expected behaviours of the individual pup of such, whilst highlighting the owners natural handling skills, canine’s capabilities and determines cause of any imbalance within the existing canine/human relationship.

A training program is then specifically designed to educate the owner in the correct communication skills and to educate the canine in all required disciplines, by the use of KELFORD Techniques. This brings balance to the canine/human relationship whilst establishing the trust/respect bond.

KELFORD  techniques channel the pups enthusiasm whilst improving the status of the owner in the eyes of the canine, resulting in the canine willingly looking to the owner for direction.

The Kelford Rebalancing Program

This is an ideal way to understand why you are not quite ‘getting it right’ with your dog. If you feel you are struggling to understand why your dog does any of these –

fails to recall, pulls on the lead, suffers separation anxiety, gets over excited when friends come around the house, barks at other dogs, jumps up, growls, etc.

The Kelford Assessment will give the Assessor the opportunity to source the cause of imbalance in the existing canine/ human relationship. It will also give you the owner the opportunity to have a rebalancing program designed specifically for you.

This is the ideal option for those that have been attending general dog club elsewhere for a period of time but who are still experiencing issues with their dogs.

This is also an ideal option for those with working gundogs who are finding the dog disconnects with them in the field, gives chase to game, gives voice, or fails to look for guidance, releasing without command.
