Training My Human!

After some desperate googling to try and find the right type of help, my human stumbled on Kelford – and spoke to Lyndon. I took my human there for some training session. Lyndon could speak to her in human language and help her understand how to read me and how to communicate with me. At last! I’d found the help I needed to communicate with my Human!

Jemima: A Gentle Griff, Growing In Confidence

Kelly has spent a lot of time with me and Jemima to coax her out of her nervous behaviour and to increase her confidence. Kelly has shown amazing patience and understanding, trying many different methods, and using her own brilliantly trained dogs to build Jemima’s confidence.

We had specific requirements which included handling urban noise and traffic, being off lead around a golf course and exceptionally kind to children. They did an amazing job. Harriet: Loyal and Affectionate

Wanting to add a dog to our pack of three I asked Kelly to start a puppy search taking into account the dogs I already had. After much consultation and discussion she suggested an American cockapoo, and after a lot of searching found one for me.

Wellington: The No Longer Vanishing Cockapoo

On walks Wellington would constantly disappear for long periods of time: off chasing rabbits, or any scent. The problem was that he was treat-trained, and whatever he was chasing was far more interesting than the treats in my pocket.

Taming A Wild Wirehaired!

Our training sessions with Lyndon have consisted of training in a variety of locations, the Kelford site and further afield such as secure fields, town environments and at our home. One of the most helpful parts of these sessions was simply observing how Lyndon handled Satch and also the opportunity to be critiqued on our handling. Things like tone of voice, lead pressure and whistle use all played a part.
